Honey Homes’ handymen and handywomen can complete jobs of many sizes, ranging from changing light fixtures and hanging artwork to replacing a toilet. See a full list of coverage areas here, which includes installation, assembly, carpentry, patch and paint, drywall, and minor electrical and plumbing. If a new water or power source is needed, we’ll always refer you to a specialist for safety reasons. When a job does require a specialist, we’ll be upfront with you, and can connect you to a trusted vendor in our network. These costs are passed to you.Honey Homes does not handle ongoing pool care, ongoing landscaping or house cleaning. Every handyman undergoes a thorough vetting process for quality, service and friendliness, including a background check and hands-on assessment. We also provide regular training opportunities. Our handymen and handywomen have several years of experience in the industry, take pride in their work, and enjoy working with homeowners.
Yes, there is a "Give $150, Get $150" referral program. Members can receive a $150 credit for every new member they refer that signs up for a Honey Homes membership. The credit will be applied to their next invoice(s) from Honey Homes. You can refer a friend or neighbor from your “Profile” tab in the Honey Homes mobile app. If 10 friends or neighbors sign up from your referral within your first 6 months, we’ll thank you by giving you an entire year free.
Annual members have 42 hours to use flexibly over the course of one year. You can pre-book visits in advance if you like (e.g. 3rd Friday of the month) or pull time forward and backward as you like. Visits can be booked on the app or via our team in two time blocks: a 3.5 hour visit or a 1 hr 45 minute visit. The last 10 minutes of every visit is devoted to clean up and task documentation in the app.If you need more visits in a given membership month, you can book additional 1 hour and 45 minute visits for $150. If you require 2 handymen for a particularly complex task, you can do so for an extra fee to cover labor costs.
At your 45-minute free home walk-thru evaluation, you'll meet your handyman and review the items on your to-do list. He or she will be upfront about what can be completed by them, and where we'll have to coordinate a specialist. You'll get a great sense of the value you'd receive from Honey Homes. There is no obligation or credit card required. As soon as your walk-thru is booked, you can download the Honey Homes app and start adding to your to-do list. You’ll be able to log into the app using your phone number.After your walk-thru, if you'd like to join, please book your first visit from the "Schedule" tab of the app, or let us know and we can help. When you book your first visit, you’ll be ask to select up to 3 tasks for us to work on at that visit. If we finish those early, we’ll absolutely stay to continue working through your list.Your handyman will always arrive wearing booties and a Honey Homes polo.
Your Honey Homes handyman will come prepared with basic parts needed for everyday small tasks (nails, basic caulk, etc). For larger parts or materials required, you have the option of purchasing those yourself or having us research and purchase these on your behalf. If you choose the latter, we’ll add a nominal $10 shopping fee to cover the cost of researching and purchasing parts. This fee is fixed (not a percentage) and charged per visit requiring parts (not per part). For parts more than $100, we will also ask for approval to purchase in the app.Please note that for parts and materials that you will be looking at or touching every day (e.g. a new kitchen faucet), we suggest you pick it out yourself. We’re happy to provide advice as needed.
Honey Homes will design a bespoke home maintenance plan for your home, including over 10 home maintenance tasks important to keeping your home safe and functional. We’ll work with you during your first 60 days to visit your home and document your major appliances and systems, to create the plan. Then, we’ll notify you when it’s time to complete maintenance items and you can easily add them to upcoming visits.

For big jobs that require a specialist, Honey Homes can source vendors and manage the process for you as part of your membership. The cost of the specialty vendor will be billed to you. We’ll provide you with a quote(s) in the app, and upon your approval will help coordinate a visit from the vendor.The same also applies to built-in appliances. If an appliance breaks, Honey Homes coordinates an appliance specialist to repair or recommend a replacement. Specialist services and parts will be billed to you.
